Numbers.

1st thing you need determine is what
kind of monthly payments you can afford.
You'll need to put together a list of
your current bills, include you car
payments, credit cards, insurance,
utilities and other expenses. Once
you have this information, go to CDI's

idea of your possibilities. We
know this seems
like allot at first, but many
prospective home buyers are very
surprised by how much purchasing
power they actually have.
2. Beginning the Financing Process.
Once you've
determined
the price range for your new home, it's
best to go through a financial
institution for pre-approval to make
sure your are ready to go. A CDI representative can assist you with
several financial institutions to get
the loan that's right for you.

3. Choosing Your Community.
Probably the most
important decision before determining the
type and cost of your home is where you
want to live. In making this
decision you should take into
consideration several things, such as where you work, are you single,
married, retired, and what type of hobbies
you have. How about children
and schooling, do you want to live in
the country or is being close to town
more your style. Once you know
where you want to be, CDI can give you

4. Choosing Your Home.
Once you know what
you can afford and where you want to
live, it's time to choose a

6. Deposit to secure your Home
Site. Once, you
have determine the amenities and layout
of your new home, CDI, like most
contractors, will require a letter of
intent from your financial institution
and a deposit to secure your building
site and start the building process.
7. Homeowners Insurance.
You will need to
obtain insurance on your home through
your mortgage company for construction
project. Your
CDI representative or financial advisor
can give you more information regarding
this requirement.
8. Updates and Walkthroughs.
At CDI we work with
our customers to make sure the finished
product is exactly what they want.
That's why we encourage our customers to
attend regularly scheduled walkthroughs
with their building supervisor so that
we may answer
any questions or approve modifications
to keep your project on
schedule and within budget.
9. Changing/Adding your
Utilities. You
will need to changed or added your
utilities to your new home. City utilities
are usually part of the construction
permit in urban areas, but in rural
areas, telephone, TV and internet
services may be the responsibility of
the home owner. Please consult with

Team" representative or your local
utility company for more information.
10. Final Acceptance and
Closing. When
CDI has completed your new home, your
will be required to go through the
property with a CDI representative to
make sure everything is to the proper
specifications and to let you know how
to operate the different appliances and
utilities. CDI will then provide any
necessary completion or occupancy certificates as
required and any warrantee information
regarding products or services. CDI will then ask your
financial institution to schedule the
closing where all documentation
transferring ownership of your new home will
be completed and final payments
accepted.
